Financial Management N4-N6

What you should know about Financial Management N4-N6.

Financial Management course is designed to encourage access to the accounting profession. This is a national career-orientated qualification and is very popular with the private sector. It is offered to those candidates who would like to enter the world of finance as their career path. Each N-Level in Financial Management N4-N6 takes a minimum of 6 months (Semester) to complete. A student in the possession of Grade12 or equivalent is admitted into N4. One can proceed to the next level only when the previous level has been successfully completed with minimum of 4 subjects. On successful completion of each level the candidate will be issued with a National Certificate by The Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET), Quality assured by The Quality Council for Trades and Occupations (QCTO). It is recommended that students enrolling on the National N4 Certificate programme complete the N5 and N6 as well as the 18-month or 2000 hours of suitable workplace experiential training in order to qualify for the National Diploma. 

The NATED Business/General Studies N4-N6 qualification is designed to provide the theoretical component in order for you to attain a National Diploma in Financial Management. The practical component comprises of a minimum of 18 months (2000 national working hours) relevant work experience.

The Department of Higher Education will issue you with a National Certificate once you have passed each level with a minimum of 4 subjects eg. N4, N5, N6.
